POCO Pods Earbuds with APP Support ⚡⚡ Detailed Unboxing & Reviews ⚡⚡
In this blog, we will be reviewing Poco Pods Earbuds, a new launch by Poco in the under 1,500/- earbuds category. We found Poco Pods to be pretty similar to the Redmi Buds Active 4. But still, let's see the detailed review of it.
Design
As, for the design of the Poco Pods case you get a matte finish oval-shaped case, with Poco branding on the front. At the bottom side, you get the charging port, along with a battery indicator. You get stem-shaped earbuds inside the case which are held by proper magnetic locks. With tight and proper fitting you can easily use it while doing your workouts, but you can hear outside noise and activities easily.
One of the major disadvantages of Poco Pods is that you do not get any Type C charger cable in these earbuds. You get an IPX4 water-resistant feature with it.
Connectivity
Poco Pods comes with Bluetooth 5.3 technology that provides good connectivity with your device.
You get Xiaomi Application support with these earbuds. The application is not at par. You just get three features in the application:
Battery indication of the case and the earbuds.
Renaming the earbuds.
On/off the low latency mode of the earbuds, that will enhance your gaming experience.
A good feature of these earbuds is the Google Instant Pair feature. So, as soon as you open the lid of the earbuds, a notification pops up on your phone, from where you can directly connect your earbuds.
Battery Life
Poco Pods Earbuds come with decent battery life. One can get 5 to 6 hours of playtime with these earbuds on a single charge, and overall you can get to 30 hours of playback time. Fast charging facility is also available with this earbud where you can get 90 minutes of playback time with just 10 minutes of charge
Touch Controls
Poco Pods come with basic touch controls like music play/pause, receive/cut call, and next track. There is no touch control for the previous track.
Gaming Test
Poco brand claims to provide 60 ms of latency while playing games. After testing the buds with a few games, we have noticed that the loudness while gaming is not too much. As loudness is less, you will face problems while playing action games.
Music Experience
Poco Pods come with 12 mm dynamic drivers that support SBC codec. You do not get any AAC codec support with it. The loudness is adequate, which could have been improved on the brand's part. Even after testing from different devices, we faced similar issues.
The trebles and vocals are pretty good, which gives you a good experience, but the place where they could have improved is the loudness part. As loudness has been compromised, you cannot expect good and thumpy bass here.
Calling Test
Even with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), you cannot expect a good calling test. There is a lot of background noise, wind which decreases the clarity of your voice.
Conclusion
So, concluding Poco Pods Earbuds, we can say that it comes with more cons than pros. Though the price is nearly 1,399/- there are a lot of better options in the market.
